Dear Citizens of Fayette County,

My Name is María del Pilar Oddo. My Nickname is Pily.  I am Charles Oddo’s wife.  Twelve years ago God gave me the good fortune to meet Chuck, and I knew he was the best person I could find for my life. I knew if I accepted his proposal, all my life would change, and I desired to follow my dreams with him.

After I received my University degree in Economics, we married.  On the 4th of July, we will have celebrated our 10th anniversary, and I can tell you it was the best decision of my life, although we have faced challenges most married couples do not.  We spoke different languages, we were from different cultures, and even the weather we knew was different.  Most difficult of all, I had to leave my beloved family far away in South America.

In the United States, and in Fayetteville, I found a new life different from my Colombian home, but I love this Country, I love the people, I love the opportunities, I love my Friends here, I love my American Family and I love my wonderful Husband.

Chuck and his family, now my family, are admirable persons.  They desire always to help this community in the best ways, and for me that is fantastic!  That is awesome!

Now I can say with great pride I am a Citizen of this beautiful country that received me with open arms, a country where we are building our life together.  I get goose bumps when I hear “God Bless the USA” by Lee Greenwood, or listen to the Star Spangled Banner.   I’m a Citizen like you, with dreams and hopes like you, and with a desire for the best for everyone.

I can tell you that Chuck is a complete man.  He is a responsible person, an honest person, and he desires to help our community in the best way.

Our Families, Our Children, Our Seniors, Our Community, and Our County need a man like Chuck, a Commissioner who has the capacity to listen to all its citizens with a fair and open mind, and to treat them with courtesy and respect always.

Fayette Countians, you can believe in Chuck whose ethics derive from God’s laws and not man’s laws.

It is for this reason, my Dear Citizens, I want to ask you for your vote for Charles W. Oddo this July 31st.  I can tell you that with Chuck, you will entrust your vote to a man who will be your voice on the Fayette County Commission.  He is a man where old is new . . . where traditional values of faith, friendship, caring, and respect will again be foremost while he holds his office.

Our County needs a New Face and an Open Mind.  It’s time to elect a citizen who will govern as he was raised . . .  Treat others as you want to be treated . . . The Golden Rule.

Please vote for My Husband Charles W. Oddo, this July 31 as your new Fayette County Commissioner, Post 1.

Thank you very much for this opportunity. God bless you always!
